Seattle Trip - November 1996

 

It was time to go see my very first NFL game in person.  I got two friends together and we flew from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to Seattle, Washington (1,060 miles or 1,1710 kilometers), and were going  to see the Seattle Seahawks play the Oakland Raiders in the Kingdome on November 24, 1996.  Aside from the fact that the Seahawks lost 27 to 21 to the Raiders, I still to this day consider that trip as one my best.  The strangest thing that happened during the whole coarse of the trip was when we were at the game.  Just before the kick-off, we were looking around the dome and to our amazement, we spotted another group of people that we knew from our home-town who also made the trip and they were seated 5 rows in front of us!! (what are the chances of that happening!!)
